Don't know about you but I've been driving my car since 5 years now. Got a preowned BMW from Abu Dhabi Motors delivered in Dubai. The car still drives like a dream, especially the month it's fresh from a routine service. But I get the urge to get another car ever so often. Usually get a sports car rental for a weekend and I end up missing my car again. I've checked out OneClickDrive before and used it for negotiation with this rental company I usually rent a car with.

That’s actually a wild variety in 30 days. Chauffeur work in the UAE really shows how mixed the demand is here from basic daily rides to full luxury and supercar trips I’ve noticed platforms like OneClickDrive also reflect that mix depending on what people are looking for

Really depends on your budget and how much you value convenience tbh. If you've got back to back meetings across different areas of the city, a chauffeur can save you the hassle of waiting for Careem during peak hours or explaining locations to different drivers. You can check OneClickDrive for chauffeur options too, just compare the hourly rate, minimum booking time, waiting charges, and whether parking is included before booking. The cost difference isn't massive if you're already planning 6+ rides in a day, plus you get someone who knows the city well and can wait for you between stops.

I’m planning a short stay in Dubai and thought transport would be the easiest thing to figure out but now I’m not so sure. At first I was just going to rely on Careem/Uber and not overthink it but when I actually started mapping out a normal day like hotel somewhere in Marina maybe Downtown later back out again at night it started to feel like I’d be ordering rides all day. That said, I stumbled on OneClickDrive while searching around and noticed they let you compare rental options from different companies. Some listings go for around 50 AED per day and they have everything from basic economy cars to Lamborghinis and Ferraris if you want something fun for a day or two. It’s not even just the cost, it’s more the stop and wait part. Booking, waiting, getting dropped off, then doing it all over again a few hours later. I didn’t think that would bother me but now it kind of feels like it might break the flow of the day a bit. At the same time, I’m not 100% convinced about using a car either driving somewhere new is always a bit of an adjustment and I keep hearing mixed things about parking depending on the area. What’s confusing is how different people describe it some say taxis are more than enough and super easy others say after a day or two they wished they had more control over how they moved around. Feels like one of those things that sounds simple until you actually try to plan it properly.

I’ve been thinking about how people approach cars these days and it feels like the default mindset is slowly changing depending on where you are. In some places it’s still very straightforward if you need a car you just buy one and that’s it. But in other situations it doesn’t feel that fixed anymore. Speaking from experience, I found a site called OneClickDrive that lets you compare buying options from dealers and private owners in one place they also have rental listings if you just need something for a short time and even chauffeur services if you don't want to drive yourself it kind of showed me how many different ways there are to get a car without necessarily owning one long term. Some people seem to move between different options depending on their situation sometimes renting makes more sense if you’re only staying somewhere temporarily or don’t want long term commitment other times people only use a car occasionally instead of owning one full time. And in some cases it even feels like having someone else handle the driving is becoming more normal than it used to be, especially in busy cities or travel situations. What I find interesting is how that changes the whole idea of convenience. It’s not just about buying the right car anymore, it’s more about how often you actually need one and what kind of flexibility you want in your day to day life. Even things like selling a car seems different now too because it doesn’t feel like people keep cars for as long as they used to. I just want to know if this is something others are noticing as well or if ownership is still very much the default in most places.
