Scanned files were the BIGGEST bottleneck at our records department. We we started using this software called CaseGuard recently and its OCR works really well on messy scans and lets us find and permanently redact information across entire documents, not just one page at a time. It’s cut hours of manual review and we still do a final check, but the accuracy on scanned PDFs has been solid.
