Lavu

I'm here because I want to self host my POS but there are so many gates. Of course I get that the terminal talks to the gateway for PCI compliance, but it needs to talk to my locally hosted POS and even being willing to write my own adapter, they are not making it easy. I'm a software engineer, technically none of it is difficult, but they make it difficult. I don't want a cloud POS, I used Lavu for a shop and I don't want to rent everything and call Lavu b/c the cash drawer doesn't open or whatever. I want to be able to write business analysis software working locally from my own POS and customize it to my business plan.

🙏Square vs Lavu, the former simple and inexpensive, latter has a dual pricing (like gas stations,etc) cash is less, cc is more so the buyer covers the small fee, saving owners thousands over a year. It also has a lot of other abilities regarding inventory management, self-service kiosks, offline mode, customer database for personalized service, payroll, tracking, etc. I'm just a small cafe (with expansion plans) hopefully opening soon. Has ANYONE here used both or Lavu, specifically?? Many have used Square... I'd love to hear any experience. THANK YOU very much☕✨
