I feel this so much. My favourite saves are never the ones in the Top Leagues in Europe. Countries/Leagues I had the most fun with are: Greece - quite a bit competition to win Chile - I don't know what it is, I often find myself back there haha South Africa - All the different cup competitions are crazy to manage Central America - I added in a bunch a leagues via database (Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, Panama, ...) and did a journeyman there. Was great fun! But my favourite league, and I don't know why exactly: Japan. I love it so much. I'm always coming back, starting from J3. It just hits something in my heart. I hope you'll find a good save for you and your likings.

So I was in a match on Facility\_0 as beast (which is horrid) and i found a girl, caged her on the staircase area, then went to walk off, then I hear VERY close footsteps. So obviously, like a normal person, i go towards the footsteps (Tracking them with spacial audio) And boom they are right there. So, i stayed near the captured person trying to find a better way to capture the other girl at the bottom, because, i did not want them to just get a free save. The other girl jukes me and saves the caged girl, then i chase after them, since i do not know where anybody else is. I capture the other girl, put her in a cage, then, again, i hear multiple very close footsteps so, i patrol near the area, and i find a girl trying to save the other girl, so i put the girl into a cage as well. And there was one person left, so, like a normal person, i heard footsteps, i went towards those footsteps, and boom there she is. Capture her, win the game. And appereantly, winning the game is not allowed. So they begin to argue with me, then they all agree to target me and camp me. I began to explain that "Im not just gonna let you have a free save" and "I heard footsteps" but then they began to gaslight me that, actually, "roblox characters dont make footsteps" girl what??? Then, they found me with help of their friends and i died. Then they started talking bout sum "Haha you mad" and "Youre embarrasing" when you are the ones so offended that I dared to win? These people still get rewarded with xp btw, and still level up, and still continue to play the game. This game is unplayable as the beast role, and thats not an opinion its a fact. There is so many infinite vents to just go to, so many god damn doors, and just so many maps that mess you up, but as soon as you win, you will most likely get angry players deciding that winning is an offence punishable by death.

Incoming ramble. For podcast sakes, I'm just going to say my favourite sporting moment I rewatch, and then ramble about other moments. The next paragraph is what I most want to share. The rest is just a comment for reddit. Until the 2022 World Cup qualifying, Canada was pretty much a non factor in men's international soccer, so I had to cheer for Chile, my dad's country. Let me tell you, [Alexis Sanchez doing a Panenka to win Chile their first ever Copa America in 2015](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sm0TeXjvNJg), 99 years after the first Copa America, gets me emotional. I remember watching it at my grandfather's place with him and my dad. My grandfather died a few years ago, so that is still a memory I cherish. ---------- So, for my favourite sporting moments, it's kinda slim pickings from me from hockey because my team is the Leafs (who seem to be possessed [recent lottery win aside]). Despite being a Liverpool fan, it's slightly dishonest from me to choose one of their winning seasons because I wasn't emotionally invested enough for those times. There's some from baseball with the Jays ([Joe Carter's walk-off from 93 to win the World Series](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIWXEYRBUgA), a month after my older brother was born; the recent [Springer Dinger in Game 7 of the 2025 ALCS](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ed8axZADtJo) that gave them the lead and eventually the win), though my favourite in that realm is the [Jose Bautista batflip that won the Jays the 2015 ALDS](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UdsVO7HaJg) (that 7th inning was so wild, I couldn't believe that was happening). I'm not a basketball fan, but even I'm mesmerized by the [Kawhi buzzer beater](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75iExVNvrWw). When Canada finally got relevant in men's soccer, there are a couple of moments in the 2022 qualifying that got imprinted onto me. Two of them are in Canada vs. Mexico in snowy Edmonton. The second Canada goal, where [Sam Adekugbe celebrates Cyle Larin's goal by jumping in a snowbank](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBb-_oas-yg&t=160). Also in that same game, [Milan Borjan robs Mexico of a goal](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBb-_oas-yg&t=339), securing the first win against Mexico in ages. In the same round against the US, [Sam Adekugbe scores to secure the win](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cAznenUjNw&t=262) and push Canada on the verge of a World Cup spot. There's also a couple of moments in women's soccer I remember fondly (Canada's women are higher ranked than Canada's men relative to their competition). Winning the 2020 Olympics (including getting revenge on the Americans for 2012) was great, but the 2024 Olympics was more memorable despite Canada losing in the quarters. Backstory: Canada got in a lot of trouble for flying drones to spy on closed team practices, which was apparently done for a while (including in the 2020 Olympics, and even spread to the men's team when a manager of the women's team hopped over to manage the men's team). The team ended up getting a 6 points deduction in the group stage, effectively meaning that they pretty much had to go perfect in the group stage to move on. Against the hosts France, they were tied 1-1 going into the 12th minute of stoppage time (there was a long interruption by a goalie injury), when Vanessa Gilles scores to win the game. I'd go and watch it again and again, but it's hard to find highlights for that game, and I suspect the Olympics might've been embarrassed to see Canada completely overcome their penalty and wants to hide that critical win. Esta mañana me vinieron a buscar al trabajo. Bajé del furgón y mientras esperaba vi llegar el bus de la parada de enfrente. La gente bajaba hacinada, empujándose sin querer, con esa cara que no es de mal humor sino de cansancio acumulado, el cansancio de quien lleva una hora parado en un vehículo que salió lleno desde el primer paradero. Nadie miraba el telefono. Nadie hablaba. Bajaban y caminaban directo, con esa economía de movimientos de quien sabe que el día es largo y la energia no sobra. Eso es Chile también, el Chile que no sale en los discursos del 18 de septiembre ni en los titulares que celebran el crecimiento del PIB. Y es desde esa parada, no desde ningún otro lugar, que quiero escribir esto. Hace más de cien años, un tipógrafo llamado Luis Emilio Recabarren escribió una conferencia para el centenario de la república chilena. No fue una conferencia de celebración. Fue una conferencia de cuentas: quién había ganado con la independencia, quién había perdido, y por qué la fecha del 18 de septiembre no tenía nada que festejar para el que trabajaba. Lo escribió calculando salarios en peniques para demostrar que el obrero de su época no ganaba más en términos reales que el de cuarenta años antes. Esa operación aritmética, esa honestidad incomoda, es lo que quiero repetir hoy, porque el ejercicio sigue siendo necesario y los resultados siguen siendo parecidos. El Ingreso Mínimo Mensual en Chile se sitúa en $539.000 desde el 1 de enero de 2026.Suena a progreso. Pero hagamos la misma operación honesta que Recabarren: a ese sueldo hay que descontarle cotizaciones previsionales y de salud, dejando un líquido aproximado de $447.000. Con ese líquido, en Estación Central — una de las comunas más económicas de Santiago — el arriendo promedio ronda los $263.000 mensuales. Es decir, antes de comer, movilizarse o enfermarse, ya se fue más de la mitad del sueldo en techo. Y si querés algo con dos dormitorios para una familia, en Providencia el arriendo fluctúa entre $520.000 y $650.000 en el primer trimestre de 2026, cifra que supera el sueldo mínimo completo para una sola necesidad básica. La aritmética no cierra. Nunca ha cerrado. Recabarren decía que el salario no es participación en la riqueza producida sino el aceite de la máquina humana, lo justo para que el trabajador pueda volver mañana a producir. Ciento dieciseis años después, la definición sigue siendo exacta. Ese es el telón de fondo sobre el que hay que leer todo lo demás. En octubre de 2019, ese telón se rasgó. No fue un partido el que llamó a la calle, no fue una central sindical, no fue ninguna coordinadora con nombre y logotipo. Fue algo más dificil de organizar y más dificil de detener: varios resortes quebrándose al mismo tiempo. Los profesores que llevaban años pidiendo mejoras y recibiendo promesas. Las familias endeudadas hasta el cuello con el crédito universitario de un hijo que todavía no encuentra trabajo acorde a su título. Los trabajadores de la salud pública atendiendo con lo que hay mientras el sistema privado florece a dos cuadras. Y sobre todo, los estudiantes — secundarios en su mayoría, cabros que todavía no votan, que todavía no pagan arriendo, pero que ya viven en casas donde el dinero no alcanza, donde el papá llega tarde y cansado, donde la mamá hace malabares con las cuentas — ellos fueron los primeros en moverse, porque son siempre los primeros en ver lo que se viene. No lo viven todavía en carne propia, pero lo ven llegar, lo huelen en la mesa de su casa, y cuando salen a la calle no lo hacen solo por ellos sino por lo que observan en los que más quieren. Eso es lo que hace tan poderosa la movilización estudiantil y tan incomoda para el poder: no tiene precio, no tiene cargo que ofrecer, no tiene carrera política que proteger. Harta de pensiones que condenan la vejez a la miseria, de salud donde el apellido determina el tiempo de espera, de educación que se compra en cuotas y endeuda familias por décadas, la calle se llenó de una rabia que no necesitó coordinación porque ya estaba coordinada por la experiencia común de no llegar a fin de mes. La respuesta del Estado fueron ojos reventados — más de cuatrocientas personas con trauma ocular. Recabarren escribía sobre azotes para la gente de baja esfera en los bandos de 1814. Los instrumentos cambian, la lógica permanece. Entonces llegó la pandemia, y el gobierno de Piñera no podía creer su suerte. No porque la crisis sanitaria fuera buena para nadie, sino porque resolvió el problema más urgente que tenía: vaciar las calles. El toque de queda que no había podido imponer por razones políticas lo impuso el virus por razones sanitarias. La gente que llevaba meses en la calle tuvo que volver a su casa, y el impulso del estallido, que era real y masivo pero también fragil porque nunca tuvo estructura orgánica, se fue diluyendo en el encierro. La pregunta que el estallido había planteado — ¿para quién existe el progreso en este país? — quedó sin respuesta institucional satisfactoria, suspendida en el aire, esperando. Y ahí entró un sector de la izquierda a hacer lo que la política hace cuando hay un vacío: ocuparlo. No habían convocado el estallido, no lo habían organizado, en muchos casos ni siquiera lo habían anticipado. Pero tenían algo que el movimiento no tenía: estructura, candidatos, capacidad para traducir rabia callejera en votos y votos en cargos. Gabriel Boric no inventó el octubre chileno, pero supo leerlo, supo ponerse delante del río cuando ya corría y presentarse como su cauce natural. Eso no es necesariamente deshonesto — la política siempre ha funcionado así — pero sí es importante nombrarlo, porque significa que el movimiento que llegó al gobierno en 2022 no era exactamente el mismo movimiento que había salido a la calle en 2019. Uno era rabia sin filtro. El otro era rabia procesada por la lógica electoral, que siempre exige negociación, siempre exige moderación, siempre exige ceder algo para ganar algo. Y cuando llegó la hora de gobernar, esa distancia entre la calle y La Moneda se hizo cada vez más visible, hasta que la popularidad del gobierno cayó a alrededor del 30% hacia el final del mandato, y la rabia que en 2019 había apuntado hacia arriba terminó apuntando, en parte, hacia quienes habían prometido encauzarla. Lo notable del estallido no fue entonces solo la violencia con que fue reprimido sino la claridad de la pregunta que planteó y la forma en que esa pregunta fue primero aplazada por una pandemia, luego capitalizada por una candidatura y finalmente respondida, en las urnas de 2025, con una respuesta que nadie en 2019 hubiera imaginado.
