There are some benefits in having public transparent states, especially in DeFi. However, some information should definitely be private (ex: your vote onchain or your salary). It's up to the developers to choose between what they want to keep transparent and private onchain, which makes the developer and user experience complete, like in web2.

This is something we’ve thought a lot about.
