I've been holding ADA for quite a long time now. I have my assets on a ledger wallet that is connected to YOROI, where I naturally stake as well. Late last year I successfully claimed my NIGHT tokens but I didn't plan to redeem for the thaw until later this year when my entire claim would be available in one go. I've kind of tuned out the ADA/NIGHT ecosystem so I'm not really up to date on this. I have a few questions though. 1. I notice on my airdrop page on yoroi it shows my NIGHT tokens available for thaws 1-4. However, at the bottom of the page it shows my allocation size and total left to redeem as MORE than what the 4 thaw periods would total out to. Is this just a glitch of some sort or am I actually eligible for the higher amount? 2. When you do go to redeem, is this just like approving a transaction such as sending ADA from YOROI or is it more involved? It correctly shows my destination address and all that, but I'm still kind of paranoid about making some sort of mistake with this. 3. When NIGHT tokens are successfully redeemed, what does that end up looking like on my yoroi page? Would it just be under my portfolio page or do I have to download the app from ledger that supports the asset?

I've seen this issue happen before, and in that case it was because the account trying to join was less than 48 hours old. A lot of Discord servers have measures in place to block very new accounts since scammers and bots often use freshly created accounts. Fighting spam bots is a constant battle, and unfortunately legitimate users sometimes get caught up in those protections too. It's the same for me. I initially bought Cardano for around $0.10, and when it surpassed $2.50, I sold half of it. I felt bad, thinking that with that sale I was losing the best part of a project that promised so much. And then it started to fall, the broken promises, delays, and everything else began. When it was around $1, I thought about selling the rest, but I told myself that Cardano was the only project in the crypto space that didn't seem like a pump-and-dump scheme, so I held on. But that video of Charles H, that face of disappointment and defeat, made me realize that, at least in the short and medium term, the project is dead. That's not even considering that geopolitics and the economy are still a mess. I converted everything to USDT, waiting for BTC to fall further so I could leave it all there and forget about it. Hello, I currently have some NIGHT tokens on my eternl wallet (obtained by swapping ADA on minswap). I want to transfer my NIGHT tokens to my newly created Lace wallet. But Lace wallet has two accounts - Cardano and Midnight. And it seems like NIGHT tokens can exist both on cardano and Midnight networks. And then there is shielded and unshielded receiving addresses for the Midnight account. All this is very confusing to someone new like me! (It would be very useful if the lace wallet can show some learning resources around this. Going over midnight docs is not helpful enough for me to understand). Can someone please answer these questions - \* When i transfer NIGHT from Eternl, should i use the Lace cardano account or the midnight account? \* If both are possible, what is the difference between the two? If I cancel this swap on my Yoroi wallet, will I lose 298ADA? I've started the cancel procedure on my Ledger, but I am asked to sign the transfer of 298 ADA for some reason. I was originally trying to swap 1396 NIGHT tokens into ADA. Edit: So ChatGPT came to the rescue. I was able to cancel the swap, and I wasn't hit with a 292ADA fee. The 292ADA figure came up due to the way Cardano works with UTxOs. Seems a little confusing to me, but hey ho, all sorted now. Every day is a school day.

Hi all, I've been asking this since the end of January. The Head of Partnerships at Midnight Foundation replied on X saying let's get mainnet out first. Now that mainnet is two months out, there's still no dashboard sadly. The Cardano Foundation (CF) seems more transparent than the Midnight Foundation (MF) so far to me. We don't know how many Night tokens the MF is currently holding. I haven't seen a report about it, while the CF does publish such information. So, when will the MF publish the KPI dashboard and engage in this "proper disclosure" that Charles says it would be doing? When I ask Charles, he ignores it, even though he reads almost every message in the Midnight Telegram channel where price is the central topic and responds there more often than in the Discord. I'm pretty sure he ignored it because he replies to much more BS messages. The MF is also unreachable for a regular person like me. The head of partnerships was the only higher up that responded, but he says he's no longer working for Midnight. I'd appreciate it if Nightforce members could ask for the KPI dashboard that was promised, along with regular disclosure regarding holdings. I know it's an amazing invention and I think the spearhead for the 4th generation of cryptocurrency that will bring in a lot of businesses that couldn't use blockchain before due to privacy concerns. However, whenever I dig at how it can actually be used I get confused. Like, where can i find simple to understand examples but with detail. Like, if a company wanted to verify you lived in California while only requiring that information be proven from your ID, the details get me confused every time. Would the person have to give their full ID information to a 3rd party (or gov. like DMV) and they would digitize that information and tag a cryptographic signature on it that it's true and it would only give a yes or no if it's California. I feel like that leaves out ZK snark mathematics though which is sort of the point of the privacy. If anyone could clear this up I'd appreciate it.

I have some $NIGHT on ONX exchange and I would like to store them offline when my Trezor 3 arrives, can I? The website says so but I cant find much real data on it. Trezor website says only BNB Smart Chain is supported as a network for $NIGHT so how would one go about and transfer from ONX to Trezor? You just generate an ADA recieve address in Trezor Suite and transfer the $NIGHT tokens there? But then its not on the Mainnet is it? Sorry, bit of a Midnight n00b.

I received both a 1099-MISC and 1099-DA from Kraken. The 1099-MISC only shows $821.19 of ‘other income’, I think which includes: • \~$563 ADA staking rewards • \~$258 Night token airdrop (but 1099-MISC shows cost basis = $161) I also have about $460 in ADA staking rewards from my Trezor wallet. When I generate my Koinly report, it shows total “other income” = $1,086. Based on my numbers, I expected it to be higher, so it seems like about $264 is missing. I’m wondering: • Could the fair market value (FMV) of the airdrop be different between the 1099-MISC and 1099-DA? Also: • Should I rely on Koinly totals, or manually adjust to match actual income? • Has anyone dealt with discrepancies between exchange forms and crypto tax software like this?
