Just let my Ultimate end and dropped to Premium for this month, and will probably not renew it at the end of the month. I have a huge collection of Xbox games from 16+ years of playing on Xbox, but sometimes you just need to move on. I’ll pick up Fable, but there isn’t anything else that really prompts me to stay on Xbox right now. Maybe Clockwork Revolution when it comes out???

Not just GTA….when the last time we heard from elder scrolls 6, final fantasy 7 remake part 3, clockwork revolution? It’s very normal to have long gaps of publicly released information on projects that take 5+ years to finish. Just be patient and find other fun games to play. Also once information starts, it will be a flood this close to release 👍
That sounds pretty awesome. Clockwork Revolution is looking to do something very similar in concept (time travel back and forth to change history and see the effects) but it takes place in a steampunk fantasy world. To see that play out with historical figures in a recognizable world would be super cool.
Glad we're finally getting a first-person time-travelling RPG in the form of [**Clockwork Revolution**](https://youtu.be/l421zRNnivo?si=mfsfuFJqc85P7X-O).
Will be interesting to see what Cain is cooking now that he's back at Obsidian Entertainment full-time.
Not to mention there’s more games coming out that aren’t even on this list, like Ontos and Fable (and potentially Clockwork Revolution but I’m not holding my breath)!
Also, Clockwork Revolution :)
Clockwork Revolution gives me bioshock vibes.

All of their other upcoming games (Clockwork Revolution, Blade, State of Decay 3, and OD) are to far out in terms of what they will release on and everything else for 2026 (Kiln, Forza, Halo, Fable) is already announced for PS.
If (and it is a big if) they make a change on exclusivity, Gears E-Day could be the first step outside of waiting to see what happen with those 2027 and beyond releases.
It could set a precedent for the new CEO on if they just keep putting everything on PS day one or if this is at least a timed Xbox exclusive.

I feel like this is what Clockwork Revolution will be like...provided that game didn't get shit-canned too.

> “We will reevaluate our approach to exclusivity,” Sharma told employees. Sources tell me Sharma has been evaluating a range of options for Xbox exclusive games, but is treading carefully here and isn’t yet ready to commit to any major changes. Exclusivity is a thorny issue for fans, particularly because there has been a lack of clarity on Microsoft’s strategy here over the past two years.
Mentions that in the article. I personally don't think we will see a shift on this (if it does happen) until 2027, given that almost all their releases for this year (Kiln, Forza Horizon 6, Fable, Halo: Campaign Evolved) are already announced as coming to PS.
I guess the one to keep an eye on prior to 2027 would be Gears E-Day as a first step, since it is pegged as a 2026 release, but they haven't said anything about it coming to PS yet.
If they do start with this change, I imagine we won't see it until later games currently in development like Clockwork Revolution, Blade, State of Decay 3, and OD come out.

I have a lot of hope Clockwork Revolution scratches this itch for me tbh.
Rogue Waters
I am anticipating Clockwork Revolution later this year.
I don't think the GOTY has been released yet, theres some very good titles but theres not that one that screams GOTY at me so far. If Clockwork Revolution lands well later this year it could well be given it is basically a new Bioshock but not bioshock
My money is on Judas and Clockwork Revolution.
Yeah that's not even close to what I said. They have games, but they're not making big hits like they used to.
I bought Avowed, Outer Worlds 2, and Keeper in the past year. They're good... but they're not the big hits that Xbox needs to win people over. Even the Bethesda releases have only been decent to disappointing since the acquisition.
Halo and Gears used to be huge events at release and they released every 2-3 years. In the past 11 years we've gotten ONE new Halo game and it was a dud. The only Halo we have to look forward to is a remake that won't even have multiplayer.
The new Fable is pretty much the only announced Xbox game that I'm actually looking forward to and it might not come out this year... Gears E-day could be cool but they still haven't shown gameplay and it's supposed to release this year? Clockwork Revolution looks cool but seems years away.
First party games should be exciting and blow people away. They should get people to buy your console. That's what Xbox has been and continues to fail at

The big one that springs to mind is Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura.
Clockwork Revolution will be another one once it comes out.
Then there's:
Lies Of P
The BioShock series
The Dishonored series (to a certain extent)
And a few others. There are more indie games in the genre than mainstream ones though.

Really hope they don’t shift their stance on PlayStation releases and we get to see Gears of War: E-Day, Clockwork Revolution, OD, State of Decay 3, Blade and The Elder Scrolls VI on PS5/PS6, depending on when they release.
The Blood of Dawnwalker, Fable, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, Exodus 2, Clockwork Revolution (this better hit PS5), The Witcher IV and Divinity are my most anticipated RPGs at the moment.
Well, we already got a Whalepunk game hehe. Jokes aside, I saw some chat about [Clockwork Revolution](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2439280/Clockwork_Revolution/) being an ImmSim, honestly it seems more like an RPG from what i saw. I read an [interview with the devs](https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2025/06/08/clockwork-revolution-gameplay-interview-xbox-games-showcase/), and there's a heavy use of the term "reactive RPG" and how its systems feed into player agency, which by itself isn't by any means a sign of being an ImmSim, but it might scratch an itch. >!To live without hope is to cease to live.!<
Also, to vent a frustration, it's so good to hear someone who actually wants something other than "Top Hat with goggles and gears", people tend to simplify steampunk just to an aesthetic and forget the Steam part of the whole thing.

Clockwork Revolution, Fable, Blade, Gears of War are first-party games I'm eager to see more from. Also The Elder Scrolls VI, but I expect a reveal for that next year.
First Party:
Gears, Halo CE + a multiplayer Halo, Clockwork Revolution, Fable, Fallout 3 Remastered, a new high quality platformer (Banjo, Conker, Voodoo Vince), Blade, Outer Worlds 2 DLC (Earth related), Psychonauts Remake, and Wolfenstein 3.
Third Party:
Persona 6, Blood of the Dawnwalker, Splinter Cell, Spyro 4 (2nd party?), FF7R part 3, GTA 6 Play anywhere or at least cloud enabled at launch, a bunch of quality Gamepass games, late Xbox ports: Nioh, Stellar Blade Rise of the Ronin, Nihon Falcom games, and Death Stranding 2.
Hardware/other stuff:
New controller with haptics a standard version and elite series 3. Controller is releasing before next gen but will be usable between both Series generation and Helix generation. All games or haptics backwards compatibility program that adds enhanced haptic feedback and new controller support to most if not all backwards compatible games.
A look at Helix. More 360 and Xbox BC games with achievements. Achievement overhaul. Xbox console and PC UI unification.

Honestly im happy with just seeing a nice chunk of fable gameplay that’s like life complete for me as I thought the IP was done with
But to top it off Gears has a come back with EDay.
Clockwork revolution also looks amazing and I’m excited for State of Decay 3
Honestly I’m already eating this year as an Xbox fan but;
If they show a new Quake entry or Wolfenstein I think I’ll be set for a life time tbh.
With MgS4 making its way to Xbox this year my life only awaits Kingdom Hearts 4 and Devil May Cry 6
- I was also thinking the other day that I’d really love to see Turn 10 go for a Project Gotham Racing reboot, with a good mix between arcade/sim but it really focuses on the old PGR games.

Random requests that won't happen:
New Blood Wake, new Tao Feng, a new single player Halo (think Reach and ODST).
I REALLY want info on Blade and Clockwork Revolution.
For me, gears. Though I'd also like to see more of clockwork revolution.
For sure for now the only 2 that are on my radar are clockwork revolution and the cube but both dont have a set date for release yet so just dying inside while waiting to see of they are gonna be another more dissapointment or my new love but we'll see
The beginning of a new strategy on exclusivity, starting with Gears of War: E-Day.
New looks at The Elder Scrolls VI, Marvel’s Blade, State of Decay 3, and Clockwork Revolution.
From third-party, I reckon this is the venue for Persona 6. It’s time to see it alongside updates for Persona 4 Revival. Hopefully Microsoft locks in some Play Anywhere/Game Pass deals with some big games in 2027 too.

Hoping to see ES6, a launch date for Clockwork Revolution and some Persona (whether that's a tease for 6 or extended trailer/release date for 4 Revival)
Clockwork revolution is most waiting rpg game from new ips for me!!!
Please check out following games:
-"Nobody wants to die",
-the upcoming "Clockwork Revolution"
-and in the unlikely case you don't know it already: "Bioshock Infinite".
Two weeks ago, an interesting incident occurred in the Xbox Store: due to a technical error, one of inXile Entertainment's games temporarily became completely free. This was *Wasteland Remastered*, a remaster of the classic RPG originally released in 2020. The story could have ended predictably, but the developers decided otherwise.
The problem was compounded by the fact that the version players managed to grab was non‑functional. Once the bug was discovered, inXile and Microsoft quickly closed the loophole and revoked the licenses from everyone who had added the game to their library.
In most similar cases, that's where the story ends - the game ended up in players' hands by accident, so it gets taken back. But inXile took a different path: not only did they decide to let those who grabbed the game keep it, but they also replaced the broken version with a working one.
The studio wrote on social media:
>
>
Meanwhile, inXile is working on *Clockwork Revolution*, a first‑person RPG with time‑manipulation mechanics. The game is positioning itself as a mix of *Fallout* and *BioShock*. Studio head Brian Fargo previously said that the team aims to "bring the level of reactivity from our isometric games into the first‑person format." Against this backdrop, getting acquainted with *Wasteland Remastered* and *Wasteland 3* is especially fitting.

Clockwork Revolution is my biggest hype but I like The Expanse and Owlcat so I have hopes for that game too.
Clockwork Revolution looks ambitious as fuck to the point of over promising, but it's got InXile behind it at least so gives some confidence.
Whoo new arc mentioned.
Also tbf clockwork revolution is meant to be a dishonoured like game with time travel so it makes sense to not have companions, just please have factions that actually fight in game that we can join in(not as im join the factions but the fights)
I want all 3 of these to succeed. As well as Clockwork Revolution and No Law.
Clockwork Revolution, Gears E-Day, Halo Campaign Evolved, Fable (Maybe 2026), Stranger Than Heaven (Maybe 2026). A few AAA Day One games for you.
Clockwork revolution amd there are no ghost at the grand were both part of the games fest last year or the year before. They looked pretty good when we saw the first previews
Those look pretty AAA to me, they arent sequels which are the ones everyone know, but there are preview videos out there if you search the game titles.
Haunted Chocolatier, Fable, Grave Seasons, Witcher 4, Blood of the Dawnwalker, There Are No Ghosts at the Grand, Clockwork Revolution, Paralives.
In order of hype: Judas, 007, Clockwork Revolution, Max Payne, Halo.
Of course there's GTA 6 whenever it will be released on PC

GTA 6, Clockwork Revolution, Blood of the Dawnwalker, Fable remake, Forza, Halo remake, Control Resonant, all Tomb Raider games, Tides of Annihilation, Beasts of Reincarnation, Judas, Persona 6, Elder Scrolls 6, Persona 4 Revival, Resident Evil Code Veronica/0/5 Remakes, Ace Attorney 7, Devil May Cry 6 if it ever exists
Clockwork Revolution, Judas, Wolverine, Lego Batman
Clockwork Revolution, Blood of the Dawnwalker, Fable, Forza Horizon 6, Halo Campaign Evolved, Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis, Control Resonant, Beasts of Reincarnation, Tides of Annihilation, Elder Scrolls 6, Persona 4 Revival and Persona 6 are probably my most hyped games that I'm looking forward to
Lots of games to sink my teeth into over the next few years so it's great times to be a gamer. I thought that 2025 was a good year for gaming but 2026 and beyond looks stacked

My issue is when people want it in the 1960s or 70s and that just takes away that special feeling about it.
What makes the world of Dishonored feel special is the magic powers, whale oil / whale-punk / Victorian era and chaos system.
I'd settle for like a steampunk or clockpunk setting like you mentioned, which is why I also kind of look forward to the Clockwork Revolution game.
It looks like most UE5 games in terms of graphics, neither exceptional or horrible just fine.
Like, if we compare to other rpgs using the same engine then it looks better than The Expanse: Osiris Reborn or the Gothic remake, but worse than Exodus 2 or Clockwork Revolution.
If they release those games on PS5, why even bother ?
Halo, Gears, Fable & Forza multiplat, but State of Decay 3 & Clockwork revolution exclusive? Doesn't make sense.
>frankly didn't have enough leverage to being a walled garden.
I disagree. Forza Horizon / Motorsport, Halo, Gears, Fable, Banjo, Viva Pinata, Flight Simulator, Hellblade, Killer Instinct, Sea Of Thieves, Age Of Empires / Mythology. Then new stuff like Starfield, South Of Midnight, Keeper, Outer Worlds. Not even including the Activision IPs they can do like Crash, Spyro and Prototype. Or the future stuff like Clockwork Revolution
You can then easily make deals like they did with Ninja Gaiden to get some 3rd party timed exclusives.
Then you have ID@Xbox with its own exclusive channels, even if they are timed and third party.
They have so many great IPs they can leverage with good management to have a consistent wide ranged single player experiences and some strong multiplayer games.
The only thing stopping them is them.

Supposedly Volition OG's spread out everywhere. Activision, Steam, Ubisoft, EA, all of it. Same with the devs from Volitions final years (hopefully), and last we heard some key final-year devs got together and run Shapeshifter Games now, a support studio for AAA games. They were/are helping out on that Clockwork Revolution game last we heard.

Being a full time gamer it's less about fronting the absurd costs of a triple a title and more waiting forever for a game to come out now.
Like for instance, i'm STILL waiting for:
D.O.R.F
World of Anterra
Alkahest
Valor Mortis
Minimo
Interlayer
Clockwork Revolution
Nivalis
Fatekeeper
Queens Domain
Warhammer Survivors

Yep, been in similar discussions since the management shakeup and this is ultimately where my mind always goes. First and foremost they need to improve the overall quality of their first party games. Most are good, some are great but they aren’t often amazing. That is not the way first party games typically ever were. This gen only Forza Horizon 5 and Indiana Jones were games I felt were amazing (I enjoyed others but not to the level I would hope for, especially since some of these devs have made some of my favorite games of all time.)
I still like my Xbox more than any of my other consoles but that is mostly due to Game Pass being the gift that keeps on giving. If Xbox really wants to win back old fans and entice others it starts with big hits that no one wants to miss. Maybe that will be Fable, Gears: E-Day, Clockwork Revolution, or the next mainline Halo. All know is we are overdue for something that is a legitimate “GotY” type contender.

The games on my wishlist.
Kingmakers
Clockwork revolution
Judas
Exekiller
No law
Clockwork revolution, JUDAS, and Fable are my most anticipated rn.
Clockwork Revolution looks interesting.
Also Forza Horizon 6.
These are all the right moves. I liked Phil Spencer, but Xbox was losing the console war so badly that they had to shake things up somehow. She is doing good.
The problem is that Xbox consoles are so far behind Playstation and Nintendo in the console war that they may never catch up.
But Xbox owns so many amazing game studios now that Xbox will be making great games for years to come.
I only play RPGs in my old age (for the most part, though I do make exceptions here and there) and Xbox owns the following RPG developers:
Obsidian (The Outer Worlds 1&2, Avowed, Pentiment, Pillars of Eternity 1&2, Tyranny)
InXile (Wasteland 2&3, The Bard's Tale 4, Torment: Tides of Numenera, and they are working on Clockwork Revolution)
Bethesda (Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, Starfield)
Ninja Theory (Hellblade)
Blizzard (Diablo)
Plus the Fable reboot is coming.
Xbox is good on games, but still has a lot of work to do regarding consoles.

The problem is that you’re taking away the whole point of Game Pass Ultimate by doing that.
Just my two euros on the matter :
- All live service games, available on day one across all platforms. (Diablo, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay, TESO, Call of Duty, etc.)
That’s where the money is.
- All single-player or iconic Xbox games as exclusives for at least four years.
One year is way too short these days; we’re all literally drowning in games.
This ensures that games are associated with Xbox in the collective imagination, and that releases on other platforms are seen as a “victory” for those platforms. (Like Starfield and Forza)
And incidentally, it allows for a proper, full-scale relaunch at full price.
(Blade, The Elder Scrolls VI, ID Software games, Crash Bandicoot, Clockwork Revolution, Forza, Halo, Gears, etc.)

> I think the effects of that test will first become observable with the release of Clockwork Revolution, particularly in whether it launches on PS5/MaybeSwitch. I think that's only big one that hasn't been locked down yet in release optics
In regards to other future games in the works, Gears of War: E-Day, OD, Blade, and State of Decay 3 all also haven't had anything said regarding being on PS/Switch.

I think what Xbox truly is missing to capitalize on the FOMO is a real fucking BANGER of a game. Like I mean a God of War, Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima, Spider Man, Ratchet and Clank, The Last of Us and so on. They need a game to come out and be undeniably the best thing on the market for the year. You’ll still have people wait a year to get in on their console because financially they can’t afford an Xbox or to play on PC where it may not play the best right out of the gate but there are others with expendable income that want to play… let’s say Fable, and they have the means to start investing in the ecosystem.
If fable is a GOTY contender like I’m hoping it is, I think that’ll change some people’s opinions. Follow it up with Gears of War and whatever else they’ve got cooking with Clockwork Revolution (hopefully next year) and you’ve got yourself a really solid portfolio to jump into the Xbox ecosystem. Then on Gamepass you have other games from Xbox that came out previously people can sink time into and I think you’ve got a legitimate competing chance.
You just NEED to have that undeniable, massive hit that’ll change the hearts and minds of the doubters and deniers.

Yea they’ve had a pretty great 25-26 which makes this strategy change timing pretty bad. Still, 2027 with wolfenstein 3, state of decay 3, maybe Rare’s new game, clockwork revolution and a 5% chance of ES6 isn’t terrible.
I don't think that's the case.
Yes, several studios will release a game this year. But Xbox have like 20+ studios. Next year is probably Clockwork Revolution, State of Decay 3 and probably also Blade and maybe even The Elder Scrolls 6. That new Activision studio (Elswhere) is also making something. Toys for Bob is making a game for Xbox for a few years. Plus probable publishing projects.
Their whole shopping spree of studios was to secure "one big game per quarter." So I don't think they output will dry up anytime soon.
My point was more about fact that this is first really huge year for Xbox not only in terms of quantity of games but also in terms of appeal. Not to be critical towards other games, but Gears, Halo, Forza, Fable combo have way more potential to sell consoles than South of Midnight, The Outer Worlds 2 and Avowed lol.

I find it very likely that larger multiplayer or highly licemsed games will trend to be on more platforms like Minecraft, Call of Duty, Overwatch, Sea of Thieves, and Forza. Things that will retain a large population of players year after year until they are replaced.
Single-player games will be more likely to trend to be held back to be within the Xbox Ecosystem (Console, PC, Cloud) and other stores that fit within that framework like Steam, EGS, HoG, GeForce Now, Boosteroid, etc. Games like Clockwork Revolution, Elder Scrolls VI, etc. Things that are more likely to drop in player counts after launch sharply within a few months will be used to platform drivers.
If their "north star" is the be Active Users while focusing on "core over more", then this is the best way to optimize those two opposing ideas

I would argue Forza Horizon is a system seller. We can’t say for certain with how little info we get from Xbox but that game is incredible and is absolutely one I would think of when considering buying an Xbox. However, you can’t just have 1 system seller. That does not make for a good reason for the masses to spend money on a new system. You need things like Blade, ES6, Gears E-Day, Clockwork Revolution, StarCraft Shooter, Forza Horizon 7 and Fallout to be exclusive. You also need a good chunk of those games to be awesome. If they can do that, they can make an exclusive strategy benefit them. If it’s going to be a half-hearted approach (which Xbox has been known for under previous leadership), they shouldn’t even bother and instead just go multi-platform and kill the console. That would be horrible for their business because there is no way those teams survive. A lot of them are propped up by Gamepass and added revenue from third party sales. You cannot have yet another situation where they hedge and try to get the best of both worlds, and end up with the worst of both. Go all in and be aggressive, or just give up because it’s not worth doing anything other than that.

Fable
No Rest for the Wicked
Clockwork Revolution
Gothic 1 Remake - Nostalgia galore
Clockwork Revolution - Fallout'ish game + steampunk? I'm in!
Stone - Looks like a fun and creative game.
Carbon - Diablo but Sci-Fi. Underused setting imo
G-Rebels - Remember G-Police? Old farts like me wait for such a game for a long, long time
Clockwork revolution.
If it hits the landing, I think it could be incredible. The last trailer was fantastic. The reveal one from a couple years ago was pretty bad though.
Where to begin....
\- Dark Heresy\*
\- Star Wars Galactic Racer
\- Exodus 2
\- Armatus
\- Clockwork Revolution
\- Star Wars Zero Company
I'm just waiting for *Clockwork Revolution* to release, as that game oozes *"Bioshock"* vibes to me
Hopefully, clockwork revolution, silent hill townfall and duskbloods as well.
Taking the price of Gamepass Ultimate down is a HUGE move imo. I have been on xbox live since the first xbox and me and my dad both stopped using Ultimate and went down to Premium after the last price hike. I emailed them and said we where both not happy with the big price increase and that we would go to Premium and then later stop all together unless prices went back down. I was stoked as heck to hear them putting the price down on Ultimate today, upgraded my gamepass today back to Ultimate.
This is a good start but still some ways to go. I would try and tap in with how things went with the 360 days, put out good games and win some older fans back again.
I game on my PC the most but I also have a Series X, Switch 2 and a PS5, I use my Series X and Switch 2 more than my Ps5 tbh. I love quick resume, I LOVE LOVE the Backwards compatibility support and I enjoy many of the games xbox studios is putting out. Hoping now with this decrease in gamepass price that they also re open the BC stuff and I hope that the rumor of them allowing PC users to use there xbox titles on PC is true as I would LOVE the ability to play games like Lost Odyssey, GRAW 2 and Blue Dragon on my PC when I wanted to.
Lastly, if I was in charge for the next xbox that will play windows store front games to (Steam, Epic,etc..) I would do all multiplayer games multiplayer (Halo, Forza Horizon, COD,etc..) multiplat but I would make singleplayer games like Fable, Clockwork Revolution, Elderscrolls, Fallout and upcoming Obsidian rpgs as exclusives. Anyways just my two cents as a long time gamer.

They didn’t have good enough exclusives. They didn’t have the quality control. Anything that was great was small and niche. Also a smaller quantity of exclusives overall. A game like Starfield was never going to move the needle if it isn’t received well. Plus, one game alone can’t do that anyways no matter how good these days.
They need Fable, Gears E-Day, Forza 6, Halo remake, State of Decay 3, and Clockwork Revolution to all be exclusive and be great to fantastic games to get people back in while selling most of the Bethesda and Activision games multiplatform.

Hoping for news on Fable or Clockwork Revolution.
Looks like they're working on Clockwork Revolution, a game I had no idea inXile was the developers of but that've I've had on my wishlist for a while. That game looks fun too.. Someone else also mentioned that they've been hiring "narrative" people for a new IP. Do wonder what that could be. But that's probably 5+ years off anyway.
Oh you and me both. Such great setting, I miss it dearly.
Closest we are getting to it currently is inXile Entertainment's Clockwork Revolution. Has some of the same people and the cover art has Arcanum vibes. But alas not the same type of RPG nor the same setting.
I'd be happy for a well made crpg in just a similar setting!

Microsoft and Xbox have a variety of different first-party titles on the way for its console and PC gaming ecosystem, with the Halo: Campaign Evolved remake, Playground Games' Forza Horizon 6 and Fable, and Gears of War: E-Day representing some of the brand's biggest upcoming 2026 games, as well as some of the year's biggest games in general.
Indeed, pretty much everything Xbox Game Studios has in the oven right now looks promising, if you ask me. But are there any titles in the publisher's portfolio that stand out as something to keep your eye on in particular?
That question was asked to the recently promoted Xbox chief content officer Matt Booty in the latest episode of the Official Xbox Podcast, and his answer lines up with the game I'm most excited for, myself.
"We just took a trip down to Irvine, and we've got quite a lot of studios there with Blizzard Campus and then Obsidian and with InXile," he began, mentioning several of Xbox's largest studios.
"We got to see the latest updates on Clockwork Revolution, which is just really coming along, right? I think it's a bit of a cliche to say they punch above their weight, but it's kind of hard. You've got to remind yourself, this is a team of 100 people, and it looks like a lot more than that. It really is coming along. That's fresh in my mind in terms of what we see," he continued.
First announced back in 2023 during the summer Xbox Games Showcase, the first-person action RPG Clockwork Revolution is the latest game from InXile Entertainment — best known for Wasteland 2 and Wasteland 3, sequels in the Interplay Entertainment franchise that gave way to Fallout back in the day.
Led by Interplay founder Brian Fargo, InXile is building one of the boldest RPGs in recent memory with Clockwork. Indeed, Fargo has called it "the most complex game I've ever worked on," and later went on to say it's the studio's "most ambitious title, probably by a factor of 10."
Where InXile aims to set a new bar for RPG design with Clockwork Revolution is with its reactivity, as the developer plans to have its primary setting — the steampunk dystopia city of Avalon — change on incredibly deep levels when you engage with its time travel mechanics, and also depending on the actions and choices you take and make during your adventure.
Very little has been said of the game's specifics, but we do know that it's going to be extremely crunchy and systems-driven; I'd expect it to be comparable to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 or Baldur's Gate 3 in that way. It's also going to have rich character building options and tons of content, with "roughly 30% more content than what any player could see in a single playthrough."
As an RPG lover, everything we've heard about Clockwork Revolution thus far has made it my most-anticipated new game outside of Metro 2039, so it's great to hear Matt Booty mention it as one of the upcoming Xbox titles that stands out the most, and that he thinks development is going well.
It still doesn't have a release date, but a later 2026 release is a real possibility, especially since a leak last year hinted at one. I'm sure we'll get a concrete date to look forward to during this year's Xbox Games Showcase.
Do you agree with me (and Matt Booty) that Clockwork Revolution stands out as one of Xbox's most exciting new games, or are you not really interested in InXile's RPG? Share your take below, and vote in our poll as well.

Silent Hill Townfall, Mortal Shell 2, First Light, Ontos, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, Forza Horizon 6, Lords of the Fallen II, Clockwork Revolution, Beast of Reincarnation, Aphelion, Nirvana Noir. Those are on my wishlists at the moment and while a few may slip to 2027, I think I have a great year of gaming remaining, as there are still dozens of recent and past releases still left to play (currently alternating between Wo Long Fallen Dynasty and Silent Hill 4: The Room).

It's Clockwork Revolution.
Halo, Fable, Forza, Control Resonant, Beasts of Reincarnation and Tomb Raider.
Not sure whether Clockwork Revolution, Tides of Annihilation or Blood of the Dawnwalker come out this year but I'm also really looking forward to those
Speaking of industrial aesthetics, whatever happened to that [Clockwork Revolution](https://youtu.be/l421zRNnivo?si=m8i0zRX_ZvKkbTVE) game anyway? Guess it's still far away.
It feels like Bioshock Infinite but even more steampunk.
Details have emerged about the extensive collaboration between [internal Xbox studios,](https://youtu.be/ZKFwDPinbV0?si=99i2QSxq39oqlb4r) covering a wide range of development aspects - from technology and animation to narrative tools and multiplayer expertise. Matt Booty provided a detailed account of this.
One of the most notable examples is The Coalition's involvement in the development of Clockwork Revolution by inXile Entertainment. The studio known for the Gears of War series is helping its colleagues with Unreal Engine 5 work. Meanwhile, Blizzard Entertainment is supporting Playground Games in creating cinematic cutscenes for Fable, and Compulsion Games is using Activision's motion capture studio for its needs.
An interesting story involves persistent world technology and save systems. Obsidian Entertainment took the complex technology developed by Undead Labs for State of Decay 2, refined and improved it for use in Grounded. After this, the upgraded version of the technology was sent back to Undead Labs, where it is now being used in the development of State of Decay 3. This exchange proved mutually beneficial for both studios.
Rare, which has accumulated extensive experience in building multiplayer systems through Sea of Thieves, is sharing its expertise with Double Fine, which is working on Kiln. On the mobile front, King and Mojang have joined forces to create Minecraft Blast, combining King's expertise in the casual games genre with the Minecraft universe. Another curious example involves the Minecraft in-game store technology, which was adapted for Flight Simulator. Later, the same technology found its way into Starfield from Bethesda.
Beyond specific technical solutions, Xbox studios are also sharing narrative tools, best practices, and development approaches.

The Meta scores paint a different story. I'm way more interested in Clockwork Revolution and Gears E-Day than some licensed game. Spiderman and Batman are exceptions to the rule. Super hero games are very expensive to develop and extremely risky. Throughout the decades most of them have ranged from shovelware to terrible flops.
It wasn't too long ago when gave development was cheap that licensed games were guaranteed to be horrible games because they were always rushed to coincide with a new movie. That's no longer possible today without basically being AI slop, so it's extremely risky. Spiderman is extremely successful but it costs over $300 million to develop.
Unless MS buys the rights, it's way too risky of an endeavor.

The stuff about studios helping one another was great to hear. Blizzard cinematics for fable, UE5 expertise from coalition for clockwork revolution and multi-player help from obsidian for SOD3.
Side note but interesting that it sounds like first party has their video presentations for the showcase already ready. I believe they said they'd just finished filming the gears direct and that they'd gone through each studios showcase presentation last week. I had no idea they have these things ready this far in advance.

Anything with a confirmed PS5 port is safe — so Fable, Forza Horizon 6, and Halo. What’s far less clear are games like State of Decay 3, Clockwork Revolution, Gears E-Day, and of course The Elder Scrolls VI.
We're getting Clockwork Revolution and likely Sod3 next year. And a whole lot more we don't know about.
I think they be fine tbh
True but where it's a fluke for Nintendo it's gospel for Xbox. The vast majority of the big-hitter games they announced in the Series X launch window either just released in the last year or two, or \*still\* aren't out despite the next generation being on the horizon. Fable, Gears E-Day, Perfect Dark (lol), State of Decay 3, Clockwork Revolution, Avowed, Contraband (lol pt. 2), Hellblade 2.... these are the reasons you needed to get a Series X. Some of these finally came out half-a-decade after their announcement. Some are still nowhere in sight, half a decade later. And we're apparently getting the Helix next year. That's fucking ridiculous. Meanwhile all of the games announced in the same window for PS5 are out, and most of the Switch 2 games announced in its reveal period are out.

That’s a valid concern in most cases, but Xbox is arguably in its most “make or break” moment in the history of the brand. IF things really fall apart, I at least want the 25th anniversary to be remembered as a fun last hurrah. We have no idea what will be newly revealed at the June showcase, but for what we know at present it feels like 2027 will be a year where everyone except maybe Nintendo will be relying largely on third party content as we start transitioning towards next gen. Still, with everything that MS owns I’m hopeful we’ll get something previously unannounced to go along with Clockwork Revolution which is still in the pipeline.

Same here. I feel like steampunk isn't seen enough in rpgs, hell, games in general. There's clockwork revolution coming out soon by InExile though.
It sucks because the arcanum IP is in a limbo, and we will probably never get to see it again.

Xbox has Forza, Gears of War, Fable, Halo remake, and Clockwork Revolution all releasing in the back half of this year. And GTA6 on top of all of it.

A remaster of Lost Odyssey would be amazing, but I doubt it will ever happen
I'm excited about Clockwork Revolution.
It would be cool if Wasteland 4 was announced, but I doubt it - InXile is still trying to finish Clockwork Revolution.
I still haven't played Avowed yet, but I intend to play both it and The Outer Worlds 2 eventually (after all the DLCs drop and the patch cycle is complete - no DLCs are coming to Avowed, but I'm not sure if the patch cycle is complete yet).
I never played any of the Fable games, but the Fable reboot looks cool.
Lastly, a remaster of Fallout 3 (and maybe New Vegas one day) is something to look forward to.

Haha, it’s me again!
After two years, I’ve made another speculation graphic for the Xbox Games Showcase.
What are your thoughts on this showcase? Feel free to share and discuss!
The main one I’m hoping for is Judas, that game can’t come soon enough. Other than that:
Fable
Mina the Hollower
Big Walk
The Blood of Dawnwalker
Tides of Annihilation
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy
At Fate’s End
Clockwork Revolution
It's bizarre to me how much PlayStation sat on their hands this generation. It felt like they nailed the PS4 generation with their steady flow of high quality titles, which gained them an insurmountable lead against Xbox at the best possible time (that being when users really started going all-in on building their digital libraries, which cements them into the ecosystem long term). Xbox had mishandled a significant number of their franchises, only putting out a couple of great first party games during the entire generation. Nowhere near as consistently as Sony.
Now we're more than halfway through this current generation, and PlayStation has been quiet, mostly just releasing remasters. Xbox is *far, faaar* behind, but at least they seem to be making an honest effort at cranking out a range of games again. Gears, Forza, Fable, and even old school Halo (kind of) are all coming this year. They recently released Sea of Thieves, Forza, and Starfield on PlayStation. Elder Scrolls is in progress. Grounded was a hit and dropped an unexpected sequel last year. They had first crack at Indiana Jones. Clockwork Revolution looks intriguing. Doom is still going strong. Plus they have at least few unique solid partner games every year like S.T.A.L K.E.R. and South of Midnight.
It's been a long time, but it feels like Xbox finally has a respectable lineup of games. PlayStation has still released the occasional gem this generation like Astro Bot, and that space game they announced last summer certainly caught my attention, but they've been strangely quiet compared to the previous generation

I don't see Gears of War Showing the next day... It appears to say the Gears Direct is immediately following the main event.
As for other games they could show, potentially the next Call of Duty, Minecraft Dungeons 2, Clockwork Revolutions, State of Decay 3...
Modern Warfare IV, Halo Project Ekur, and IO’s Project Dragon are all likely first-party announcements.
Obviously we need dates for Halo Campaign Evolved, Gears of War: E-Day, Fable, and Minecraft Dungeons II.
And updates for other games like State of Decay 3, Clockwork Revolution, Marvel’s Blade, OD, and The Elder Scrolls VI are all on the table.

I just buy PS+ whenever I want to play a specific game I’m not willing to pay $60+ for. They share like 75% of the same games with the ubi/ea games, fallouts, TES, Arkane etc. the main difference is if you’d rather play god of wars, TLOU, final fantasy etc or sf, Indiana jones, Outer worlds, avowed etc.
With ps+ at nearly half the price I got it this last month because I refuse to pay the prices tlou2 and spider man 2 have maintained on pc. If anything ever comes exclusivelt to GP again I’ll just buy a month pass on CDKeys and sit on it until something releases, which seems like it’ll be a while for any of clockwork revolution, fable, or the new gears of war.

Will there be another one? As far as I know, the developers are currently busy with Clockwork Revolution, so don't expect a sequel for at least the next six years.
Clockwork Revolution has my attention.
MS owns enough studios and enough people derived from Arcanum, it isn't totally insane...
Most likely: release dates for Clockwork Revolution, Fable, Gears of War, something with Halo, new trailer for Arkane's Blade (gameplay), Age of Empires 4 DLC, DOOM The Dark Ages DLC. Fallout 76 update, maybe Starfield DLC (the batch releasing in April was supposed to release last year originally, so who knows).
If TES VI is announced this year, it'll be at TGA.

Can't wait to see all the new games who are coming to PS5, especialty Gears E-Day and Clockwork Revolution.
All deep dives after the showcase were for games planned that year. Starfield was an exception but it was a delay, it was planned for release in 2022 at that time.
On the other hand, Gears this year too would make their second half of the year super packed, they already got Fable, Forza, COD and Halo. Plus, there is a no man's land to avoid for GTA6 (or would they be mad enough to go there?)
I imagine my hopes for Clockwork Revolution this year (because they showed a lot last year) are to be forgotten though, that'd be way too much

Seeing something you knew nothing about is really cool. Recently remember seeing echoes of wisdom and that blew my mind seeing and hearing about that as it was announced. I think it leaked like right before but I must have missed it so it was 100% a surprise to me. Especially bear after totk.
But then I remember hearing about a steampunk rpg from Microsoft for like ever before they finally announced clockwork revolution. And felt pretty equally excited for that as well even if I knew about it.

They do want to milk TESVI more than they did with Skyrim, so it is a possibility (specially with how Elder Scrolls Online has been doing it for years, but avoiding Hammerfell like the plague since launch, which speaks volumes).
Another card in the deck is High Rock being reserved for a smaller game being done by another studio within Microsoft. The usual suspect would be Obsidian, but it looks like they are doing Avowed 2 among other things, so InExile may be a possibility after the Clockwork Revolution. At that point, I am just thinking out loud.

The original three of Troika are missing Anderson \[who is working on "Clockwork Revolution", a steampunk action RPG, Cain and Boyarsky are at Obsidian right now\], but yeah, if anyone does it, it's Obsidian.
The question is more whether Microsoft would finance this; they seem to be more interested in games that would function on computer and console.
Well lets say: Obsidian called Timothy Cain back so we will see if things change. I think Bethesda lost its way (starfield). Larian doing pretty well. Owlcat seems to be doing fine. We have to see if ZAUM still has it with zero parades. I disliked CP77 on launch but with updates and phantom liberty i can say at least for now CDPR has vision. InExile has a very creative vision and they look like they are cooking something with Clockwork Revolution. Im yet to play their games but I always read good comments about Iron Tower.

At this rate, every showcase is just me wanting release dates for things that got announced forever ago. Elder Scrolls 6, Judas, Clockwork Revolution, Twisted Tower, and ill. Now, gotta hope that Palfarm and Emberville don't take so long that they get added to that list.
It fits, but have played it a few times, and I'm just over the Bethesda style open worlds in general. Guess I'll just have to wait for Exodus 2/Expanse/Clockwork Revolution for what I'm looking for.
BioShock Infinite but open-world (maybe like that upcoming Clockwork Revolution game) and in space would be awesome
Basically every immersive sim like Core Decay, Exekiller, Fortune's Run (LMAO she has to get out of prison first and then still have the passion to finish the game development - I think not). Immersive sims are my second favourite genre next to cRPGs like Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 and Planescape Torment, but both genres rarely are feasible these days. And especially Immsims never are big sellers. I reckon that studios like Arkane will either transition into other genres (they currently work on the Blade game which seems to not be an immersive sim) or will be closed down. I still hope they will make a Dishonored 3, but I doubt Microsoft will let them. I can only hope for more Indiana Jones games as well as Clockwork Revolution being successful. But I doubt it. RIP Deus Ex saga!

I don't think we see Clockwork Revolution or State of Decay this year, personally.
Shaping up to be a good year for sure. Fable and Forza have my attention, excited for Starfield's update, Dungeons 2 was a nice surprise, *maybe* Clockwork Revolution, and I dare to hope for State of Decay 3.
Yes, her we go:
Steampunk 1877: Dishonored 1-2. (wait for release of "Clockwork Revolution")
DieselPunk 1957: Bioshock 1-2.
Cybepunk 1987-2027: Cybrpunk 2013, Cyberpunk 2020, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
AgentPunk 2027: Perfect Dark (very old but ok)
SpacePunk 2037: Prey from ArkhamGame, Detroit Become Human.
The ONLY fix is to make a damn good game people want to buy an Xbox for. How hard is that? They put out so many small AA games that aren’t system sellers and wonder why nobody wants to get the system. We NEED a good, single player, game that people are excited for and talk about. We don’t need a Kiln, we don’t need a Clockwork Revolution (looks fun but we all know it’s a solid 7), and we don’t need Call of Duty shoved in our faces every opportunity they get. We need quality.

You are right on E-Day being the odd one out. With the other 2026 releases in Kiln, Fable, Forza Horizon 6, and Halo Campaign Evolved they have announced all are going to be on PS.
In contrast, stuff like Blade, OD, Clockwork Revolution, and State of Decay 3 are all too far out to be announced regarding their PS status.
With Halo Campaign Evolved they announced right away upon official reveal it is going to be on PS, but they have not said anything with E-Day, despite them officially announcing that almost 16 months prior to Halo.
I imagine it either is actually going to be an Xbox exclusive or they will do what they did with Fable and wait until the big showcase of the game to say it will be on PS.

But I do, I already have a Series X & will be picking up the new Xbox console/PC.
If I wanted to play the physical copy of this game I would need an Xbox console since it’s not available on any other console platforms & I have no desire to build a gaming PC.
For those who already have a gaming PC setup(before the ram prices shot up making it very expensive to build one) then yeah those people don’t need an Xbox to play Clockwork Revolution.
For us that do play on consoles, the game ain’t coming out on PS5 or Switch 2. Same with [Crowsworn](https://youtu.be/lloeP9r4GvI?si=ZXCYPzaA1YD7Gjx4), [Vapor World](https://youtu.be/AxLikQwnHWw?si=xB-EttZ1-5vni-Bt), [Mistfall Hunter](https://youtu.be/MujJRGfqetA?si=ElVJYR0-XuyIMpC-), & [Aniimo](https://youtu.be/Yh5JH0Yz75E?si=RnBHyMIFBQIeAP80)(tho that game will also be on mobile). Now this is a game that needs to be updated or remade or something. Such an amazing game and it's crazy to me that up until recently, there haven't been any games like it. New Arc Line in early access and the upcoming Clockwork Revolution which will hopefully fill some of that void but seriously.. I sometimes open it up simply to create characters. Just an infinite possibility of builds.

Thoroughly enjoyed WL3, did 3 plays.
InXile has an excellent catalog of terrifically interesting games.
Hopefully Clockwork Revolution is a success.

Clockwork Revolution, Crowsworn, Aniimo, Vapor World, & Mistfall Hunter are 5 games coming exclusively to the Xbox Series X/S consoles & not PS5 or The Switch 2.
Do we know roughly when that Clockwork Revolution game is coming out?
The studio head has said they're all hands on deck for **[Clockwork Revolution](https://youtu.be/l421zRNnivo?si=o1yt4G-bzWr-qrQk)** at the moment.
I'm not complaining, I think it looks fantastic.
The first 3 games + Wolverine + hopefully Clockwork revolution + Fable + Forza Horizon 6
I travel a lot for work and decided I want a handheld for the many hotel nights. I don't game a ton typically. I won't game for months or more at all, then I'll go through spurts where I'll drop a couple hundred hours into a game over the course of a few weeks, but hotels are boring and I'd like something more to do than having drinks at the hotel bar and going to sleep.
When I do game, most of my time is spent on the borderlands series, but I'd like to branch out some. I asked r/handhelds recently what devices would run bl4 and largely the Xbox ally was suggested as my only real option under $1k, but some suggested the ally x would do what I want.
I found a like new used ally x on marketplace today and I'm picking it up tomorrow. Just curious if you think I might regret it.
I'd like to play bl4 on it. I'd like to try nioh 3 and farcry 6, and if it'll run I'd love to play clockwork revolution when it comes out. I'm searching for other titles I might enjoy, but I imagine most of them will be demanding.
Are AAAs running okay (obviously I know there will be concessions in resolution and framerate)? Is there anything beyond changing settings I'll need to do?
As a bonus question, if there are any less demanding games you think I'd enjoy based on what I mentioned feel free to drop suggestions as well.
Thanks everyone.

Gears, Fable, Forza Horizon / Motorsport, Halo, Clockwork Revolution, Avowed, South Of Midnight, Hellblade, Flight Sim, Outer Worlds 2, Age Of Empires/Mythology, Starfield, Doom off top of my head.
Throw in the rumoured Spyro 4 from Toys For Bob and get Rare to make Viva Pinata 3 for the family games. Youve got an incredibly strong and varied line up of games / series with strong fanbases.
Each one on their own may not be a console seller, but if your console is the only place to play all of them, its a good sell

Tides of Annihilation and Clockwork Revolution are the games that I'm watching.
All of the stuff like TW4 and TES6 are probably so far out that I'm not even considering them right now.
The expanse is a big one for me too because I like owlcats games. For those that don’t play CRPGs though, be warned, owlcat generally releases games in a horrible state, but they become amazing was bugs are fixed.
As for other games, phantom blade zero like many others said, and clockwork revolution that no one else mentioned are also at the top of my list. You should definitely check those out if you haven’t already.

You're missing an upcoming generational game
Crimson Desert, it's THE game to play this year. I already have it Preordered the deluxe version, plz don't ignore it.
Other than that Kena scars of kosmora as well as it's previous Kena bridge of spirits(I adore it ), Nioh3 ( absolutely amazing ), FF7 remake and rebirth, FF16, Dispatch, another awesome upcoming game called Clockwork Revolution, and last but not least GTA6.

For upcoming games theres Clockwork Revolution as you mentioned, plus State of Decay 3, OD, Grounded 2, Gears of War E Day. Though they set precedent for Gears and Grounded by having the most recent releases of them on PS5. Similarly for Halo, now that the Campaign Evolved is going to PS5, who knows if the next game might be released there.
Oh shit, that clockwork revolution trailer was pretty cool
Crowsworn, Mistfall Hunter, Aniimo, Vapor World, & Clockwork Revolution.
Those are games confirmed not to have a PS5 port but Xbox one.(for now ofc)
Also, all the Halo Games & Gears of War games.
What 3rd party games(that people care about) did Xbox lose? Or did u forget that EX33 & Silksong were nominated for GOTY2025 & are on Gamepass rn along with KCD2?(another nominee)
2 out of those 3 games I mentioned are on both Xbox & PS5 but not the Switch 2.
Lastly I don’t see a NS2 or PS5 release for [Crowsworn](https://youtu.be/lloeP9r4GvI?si=QKuumOwyMYe4b2im), [Vapor World](https://youtu.be/AxLikQwnHWw?si=54OGlUONUwpX0bIO), [Aniimo](https://youtu.be/Yh5JH0Yz75E?si=-luRoC-BSuCfXF_y), & [Clockwork Revolution](https://youtu.be/l421zRNnivo?si=Wqcw1dC7Y841AQye).
And I got all 3 bud, check the stores they’re not there.

Wait isn’t Xbox dead? Why worry about dead competition with no games exclusive on its platform like Vapor World, Crowsworn, Aniimo, Clockwork Revolution, etc 🤔🤔🤔
Man, I hope we hear something about Clockwork Revolution soon. The trailer was fantastic, and I know there's almost no chance it lives up to it, but I'm still excited.

Wanted to like this game, but something about it didn't click for me I played a few hours dropped it. Hoping Clockwork Revolution does it for me I wanted a new Bioshock style game bad.
Al primo posto Judas a mani bassissime. Lo aspetto con ansia.
Poi GTA 6 (anche se tocca aspettare il lancio PC)
007 First Light, Max Payne Remake, Clockwork Revolution e Marvel 1943 sono tutti titoli molto interessanti
Arguably one of my goty contenders just came out, RE9 is awesome, give it a shot.
Aside from that: Crimson Desert (although somewhat skeptical about it), Forza Horizon 6, Gothic 1 Remake, Phantom Blade Zero, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Mortal Shell 2, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, Control Resonant, Star Wars: Galactic Racer.
Then there are a couple without release dates: Gears of War E-Day, Star Wars Zero Company, The Cube, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, Clockwork Revolution, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Darksiders 4, WH40k: Dark Heresy, WH40k Dawn of War 4, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, TW:WH40k, Fable, Genigods: Nezha, Tides of Annihilation.
I could list a few more, but that's the gist of it.

I genuinely don't care tbh. Just want good games for everyone to enjoy. Crimson Desert isn't even my most anticipated game this year, not even close. There are many other games I'm looking forward to as well like Blood of the Dawnwalker, Warhammer 40k Dark Heresy, Osiris Reborn (probably next year), Clockwork Revolution, etc.
I'm a pc player so GTA6 is likely next year for me.
Man id love a steampunk 2077. So far that seems like what clockwork revolution is going to be. It looks amazing. I really hope it turns out good

I know this is unpopular on reddit but really there is only one way to turn the hardware ship around.
First, Microsoft must go back to console exclusives. Yes, this also includes keeping games away from PC, at least for a year (maybe more). You cannot build any desire to buy your hardware unless there are games exclusive to your hardware. Any other direction will make individuals want to buy a PC, PS, or Switch. Also, when you launch the next console you must have at least a few of these high end exclusives ready to go out the door immediately.
Second, you sell your next Xbox at a large loss. Customers need those exclusive games but they also need a low entry point. The next “Xbox” is rumored to be “high-end” and targeting a specific niche of people. This is a terrible strategy in my mind because it is antithetical to the whole purpose of a console (I.e., a cheap, easily accessible way to enjoy games).
Both of these moves are necessary to turn the hardware side around. Maybe Xbox is better just performing as a publisher now, idk. But to make the hardware sales go up — this is the only option I see.
You make a $400 machine that has Fable, Forza 6, Gears E-Day, Clockwork Revolution, and a few smaller exclusives ready — you will turn the boat around. I doubt Xbox is ready to do this, however, as they desperately need more money now to justify their studio purchases. It’s certainly unlikely that Microsoft has the stomach to eat the cost of the hardware itself alongside the smaller market period as they regrow their brand.

Road map was cool enough for me to last through the third expedition. I plan to stick around through that, and honestly this game will be in the rotation for a minute. The Crew Motorfest launches Season 9, so I plan on switching between these two games for a bit.
A few games coming down the pipeline with FH6, 007, GTA 6, Galactic Racer, Gears E-Day and a few other ones I might be interested in with Clockwork Revolution and Mixtape. But as a predominant multiplayer shooter in my arsenal, Arc Raiders will likely have that spot for a while. With Arc I could easily get the expedition done and then just play for money pretty easily without having to grind too hard for stuff.

Clockwork Revolution is probably one of the most intriguing new games they’ve announced. Also my hope is anything on State of Decay 3
Look up the trailer for an upcoming game called Clockwork Revolution, this FEELS like it should be a score in this game. Great Job.
> What did we end up getting from his big studio buying spree ~10 years ago?
> ....Redfall?
Xbox brought Bethesda in March 2021. That was not their studio buying spree from 10 years ago. Also, like how you only mentioned one game, which is one of the worst ones Xbox have put out.
This is what is from the studios MS has purchased over the last 10 years, which were all acquired between 2018-23: (I didn't count anything that released within a year after MS brought the studio like Forza Horizon 4, CoD: Modern Warfare 3, or The Outer Worlds 1 for example.)
- Undead Labs: State of Decay 3 in the works
- Compulsion Games: South of Midnight
- Ninja Theory: Bleeding Edge, Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, with a new Hellblade game in the works
- Playground Games: Forza Horizon 5, with Forza Horizon 6 and Fable coming this year
- Obsidian: Grounded, Pentiment, Avowed, Grounded 2, The Outer Worlds 2
- inXile Entertainment: Wasteland Remastered, Wasteland 3, Frostpoint VR: Proving Grounds, with Clockwork Revolution in the works
- Double Fine: Psychonauts 2, Keeper, with Kiln coming this year
- Bethesda: Hi-Fi Rush, Mighty Doom, Redfall, Quake II Remaster, Starfield, Doom 1+2 Remaster, The Elder Scrolls: Castles, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, Doom: The Dark Ages, Heretic + Hexen, with Blade, Wolfenstein 3, and Elder Scrolls VI in the works
- Activision: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and whatever this year's CoD is in the works
- Blizzard: No new games since they are focused on updates and DLC for WoW, Overwatch, and Diablo IV
- King: Candy Crush Solitaire

Hi there, it's been almost 4 months since my previous post (https://www.reddit.com/r/TESVI/s/baqvlNuOBZ) so it's time for another one!
This time, the focus will go towards the most, tangible date where we could at least see the logo and subtitle: April, 2027.
Why, you may ask.
Usually, April is the month where Microsoft announce the official date for the June Showcase + dedicated Direct, with one exception:
- In 2023, they announced the Starfield Direct in March 8th, so one month before
- In April 30th 2024 it was the time for COD Black Ops 6
- And last year, in April 9th, they announced The Outer Worlds 2
They will likely focus on a Fable Direct this year, and in 2027 they have 2 spotlight ready:
One in January during the Developer Direct (I'm sure they will show Clockwork Revolution here for early/May release) and the other one April, where they could (and in my opinion will) show TES VI logo and announce the Direct.
We already know their development timeline:
From the moment they enter full Production (where almost all the team is working on the game) it takes them 2 years + 1 of "Glue Phase" and during the June, 2024 interview Todd said they are working hard on it, implying that production with the team had already started.
He said a similar thing (but he was more clear) in December 2025 and last week.
I'm inclined to believe that 2026 is the last year of production, as they are gearing up for the glue phase + marketing and release in 2027.
They will not encounter any obstacle imo, this is their bread and butter and he confirmed that by saying "We're happy with where it's headed right now." in contrast to his words in 2021 where they faced some obstacle during the development of Starfield.
We are actually very close. Finger crossed everything will go well!

[Clockwork Revolution](https://youtu.be/l421zRNnivo?si=vGps7o_HPa0jwUyi) is still an Xbox exclusive game coming out later.
I'm not planning on buying any of their exclusives because they don't have any future releases that interest me. My most anticipated releases are Ontos, Judas, Clockwork Revolution, Tides of Tomorrow, Traveling at Night, Zero Parades, Hopetown, Tangerine Antarctic, Subnautica 2, There Are No Ghosts At The Grand, Springs Eternal, and The Lift: Supernatural Handyman.

I mean I wouldn’t say I liked it *more* than Death Stranding but yeah, those two and Infamous are pretty much it for me after the PS2.
Oh and TLOU2! Idk whether it’s trans/homophobia or what but I thought that shit was waaaaaaaay better than the first one. You take away the ending of the first one and I think it’s mediocre at best. But TLOU2 had all these twists and turns and emotions and big moments. Not the 15th “Big man and little girl” story (**Cough** *Pragmata* **Cough**). Yet in the years before it came to PC all I ever heard on the internet was >!”some trans bitch killed Joel, fuck this trash game”!< and she didn’t even end up being trans! Just a woman with a strong jaw who beefed up because of the apocalypse 😭.
There’s nothing wrong with any of those games, they’re probably crafted well on a technical level but they all feel so safe. Like they were written in a board room. I remember when Sony was Ape Escape and Jak and Daxter and the other God of War. Stuff with actual feeling. Now all their big games are Uncharted. Im happy for everyone who likes those types of games, I just don’t.
But then again I’m probably just particular like that. Like I didn’t like Breath of the Wild either and that’s just as blasphemous on the Nintendo side. It’s a similar thing where, outside of Pokémon and Fire Emblem I haven’t liked any first party from them since Wind Waker. Actually Astral Chain was somewhere in there lol.
But of course the one that post-6th Gen had Crackdown, Mass Effect, Fable, Gears, Dead Rising, Sunset Overdrive, Psychonauts, Outer Worlds, and now Clockwork Revolution is the one that’s on the rocks 😒. Just different strokes I guess.

I agree with you on the how. Timed exclusivity is the way forward.
Single-player tentpole releases like Clockwork Revolution, OD, and Marvel's Blade launch first on Xbox and PC, before coming to PS5 and Switch 2 1-2 years later. The window could be something like 6-12 months for smaller exclusives that aren't system sellers.
Live service titles continue to launch everywhere like Call of Duty and Minecraft. Even new ones like IO Interactive's Project Dragon. These games benefit from large audiences, so they should keep that. Exceptions to this are Xbox's core franchises - Halo, Gears of War, and Forza.
There are games that straddle the line between single-player and multiplayer that would be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. But the basic infrastructure is there: the bigger the game, the larger the window before it shows up anywhere else.

Fable, Clockwork Revolution, Horizon 6, Beast of Reincarnation, There are no Ghosts at the Grand, Aniimo, probably more Indiana or similar from Machine Games because of it's success (maybe Wolfenstein), Gears E-Day, Halo 7, and probably a lot more.
(Also Avowed, Outer Worlds 2, Grounded 2, all just by Obsidian last year. Oblivion remaster, Starfield DLC, F76 updates, all Bethesda).
The only massive upcoming issue, especially considering Sharma's history, is CoD and their lazy use of AI, which is an Acti/zard issue and would need to be quashed by higher ups.

> Bethesda has been doing a lot of Switch 2 ports recently.
I agree with you overall point, but this bit is moot. The games they put on Switch were Skyrim, Fallout 4, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Oblivion Remastered.
Two of those games were already multiplatform since they were from before the MS purchase, Oblivion launched as a multiplatform game, and Indiana Jones was only an Xbox exclusive for 4 months. With all those already being on PS, there's no reason to not put them on Switch at this point.
Feel like if they changed strategy that it will take at least months or longer to know, like whenever they announce a release date for something like Gears E-Day, State of Decay 3, or Clockwork Revolution and say if they are going to be on PS day one, timed Xbox exclusives, or only on Xbox.
They can't really go back and put the cat back in the bag with stuff already announced for PS like Forza Horizon 6, Fable, or Halo Campaign Evolved.

Shadow of memories and back to the future the videogame by telltale maybe? Oh an clockwork revolution coming out this year hopefully.
We only saw cut gameplay.
We didn't even see the UI, the maps, the talking, the CC, etc.
In around the same amount of time (for gameplay), for example, Clockwork Revolution showed WAY more. For that game, the gameplay trailer really did show how the gameplay will be.
Here we just barely saw how it actually is.
Though personnaly I think it's ok to not have seen that much while the game has still a year before being released, but having barely seen actual gameplay after the reveal is not great at all.

Halo 4's multiplayer was bad, and don't even get me started on how the armor looked. Story was good though, Halo 5's campaign was just awful, multiplayer was a bit better than 4s in my opinion but since I prefer campaign didn't do it for me. Halo infinite had in my opinion a better overall campaign and multiplayer experience than 5. The lack of modes at launch ruined it, not small modes either but big ones. Forge is a big part of halo and its a dang shame we had to wait so long for it to come out.
I tried to get into gears 4 and 5, I really did but none of the new characters resonate with me like the old crew did which is why Im glad that e day is going back to them. Also it feels like they can't make up their minds if they want to keep the locust dead or revive them.
Fallout 76 was good ever since wastlanders dlc came out but I played when it launched and it sucked, launching with no npcs and having the story be told through notes was just bad designs.
I don't care for racing games so forza i wont touch.
Towerborne is pretty fun.
Starfield is one of my all time favorite games even though I can admit that it had issues and can see why it didn't resonate with many people. It freaking annoys me that they are being so dang quiet about the upcoming content too. like dang man just show me
Outer worlds 1 didn't hit for me, 2 is a bit better
Avowed didn't hit for me.
While yes cod has sucked long before they acquired it, they have it now and its terrible so it does reflect on them since they own it.
Hi fi rush was good, but microsoft shut them down but hey atleast they're back under a different company, perfect dark would have loved it but it got shut down, zenimax's new mmo would have liked it if we got to see it but it got shutdown.
Now yes they have released some gems and some of their upcoming games like fable and clockwork revolution look great but halo, gears and forza are and have been the face of xbox for a while and 2 of the 3 have been lacking. In short, yes ive played those games

Iirc Xbox poached most of the remnants of Volition and made a new studio to help co-develop Clockwork Revolution.
That's the Ken Levine one, I was referencing Clockwork Revolution.
Mine is lapsed but I have a 3 month code. Was actually waiting for replaced to jump back in. Really want E-day and Clockwork Revolution but I don’t see those being spring or summer releases
Probably Clockwork Revolution. Brand new IP and gameplay looks insanely good.
I was going to say replaced, but the recent demo has tempered my hype a bit. Still will play it and excited for it though. But if clockwork revolution is coming out this year, then that takes the cake by a mile. Dawnwalker and phantom blade zero id say are both second
Even if it's done it's not a good year for it. Xbox is already full as a publisher and given GTA I would be surprised if they announce more games for 2026, except something minor. They did 12 last year that was a lot.
They now have Forza H 6, Kiln, Fable, Halo Remake, probably plan to drop Gears but may delay it cause of GTA who knows, clockwork revolution may be delayed too.
Cain and Boyarsky got to make Outer Worlds and Boyarsky its sequel. Jason D. Anderson is the lead for the upcoming inExile game Clockwork Revolution. So they are still out there making things.
Obsidian sucks ass too now. Inxile may be our only hope. Looking forward to Clockwork revolution this year
