No plenty of people use wix or squarespace! A wedding I went to a few weeks ago used wix. There’s sites like the knot, Zola, minted, withjoy, bliss & bone, wedsites (I’m forgetting a few) and these are more specifically for weddings but they usually have more robust RSVP management and sometimes have budgeting/planning features.

I did my B&B website myself and had trouble with the custom URL in the beginning. I ended up taking a screenshot of the DNS settings from GoDaddy and feeding it to Claude to help me. And also remember it will take 3-4 days for it to work after you set it up! Bliss and bone help/support team is also great. Feel free to dm me too.

Hi! I am trying to set up our wedding website through a custom URL on bliss and bone. I'm not super tech savvy and it is proving more challenging than I thought it would be! I would love tips and tricks from anyone who has used the site, or recommendations on someone to hire who is familiar with the site and could set it up for me? (I'd prefer the latter option if anyone has a great designer.) Thanks so much!

I’m trying to use Bliss and Bone but getting frustrated (definitely user error!) Would love an example, any tips you have, and would even hire you to do it for me 🫠

We used blissandbone.com because I loved the look of their modern templates. Bit of a learning curve, but have gotten a ton of compliments on our site so far.

How did you end up organizing the RSVP System ? I really like bliss & bone but i have a lot of missing addresses that im going to need and am wondering if i should stick to Zola

Hi! My fiancé and I are trying to decide between Zola and Bliss & Bone for our wedding website and would love some advice. We really like how efficient Zola is especially the contact collector and how easy the registry setup seems. But we love the customization and design of Bliss & Bone way more Zola feels slightly more basic For anyone who’s used Bliss & Bone: Is there a way to collect guest contacts/addresses (similar to Zola’s contact collector)? For a honeymoon fund, does it have to be linked through Birdie, or are there other options? I’ve seen mixed reviews about Birdie and would love alternatives if possible. Is it difficult to manage guest info and RSVPs on Bliss & Bone? For context, we’re having a destination wedding with guests traveling from the U.S., UK, Spain, and Italy so having something organized and easy for guests is really important.

Do you have to use birdie with bliss and bone ?
comment r/BigBudgetBrides u/Stunning_Ranger5738 2026-04-13
Hey ! Does bliss and bone have an option to request contacts/addresses ? Also did you add a registry or honey moon fund

Loved Bliss and Bone, if your friend is a professional web designer though they can probably resolve some of the rsvp things that make Squarespace less compelling

We are starting to look at options for our wedding website, and I love the functionality, customization, and design options from Bliss and Bone. We're thinking of using their e-Save the Dates to collect mailing addresses and then will separately later do physical RSVPs that would link to our website. My one thing is a friend has recently offered to help customize and design our wedding website for us as a gift and has years of experience with Squarespace. They could work out Bliss and Bone, but is it now worth considering having our friend kit out our wedding website on Squarespace if they know how to customize it? We also want the site password-protected, have specific guests see specific invite-only events (Tea Ceremony and Rehearsal Dinner), and would like to include both a cash and gift registry, among other functionality preferences that I'm sure will come up later. Would Squarespace also offer these? Thanks for your help in advance!

I was a BBB and I am a software designer so I know how to work my way around the computer so I hired a stationary custom printer on Alibaba and designed my own suite I thought it was stunning it had raised artwork, letterpressed writing, custom colors & font, I did have to stuff the envelopes myself it wasn’t fun my planner offered but our schedules were not aligning and I wanted them in the mail. I paid $485 for 100 invitations. 3 piece cards and I used a bliss and bone website for RSVPS which I actually loved because there’s a feature to input guests phone numbers and send them reminder to RSVP which was very helpful in getting those few lagging responses.

I made our wedding website myself using Bliss and Bone and I have to say it looks fantastic. It took me AGES to make it perfect lol but I’m not really working at the moment so I had the time to learn it and really enjoyed designing it. I’m sure if your friend is good at squarespace, they could very easily help you with B&B! It’s not complicated to use - you don’t need to know how to code or anything - but understanding general website design would be helpful to optimize layout and structure etc. Plus the digital invite options, rsvp tracking, registry options etc make B&B ideal. Happy to share my published site and our digital STDs with you if you PM me!

I'm in a similar situation. Courthouse, intimate wedding here in the US followed by a small brunch (to make things official), and then a big "real" wedding event in Brazil (where I'm from) a few weeks later. I tried using the Knot for my website and it failed miserably. Then I built it on Bliss and Bone. It's super convenient because you can assign groups to people and they only see the pages and events relevant to their group. So the people invited to my big event have no idea they're not invited to my small family and close friends only ceremony. And I get to have the site appear in different languages depending on the language I assign to the guest. They can't be mad about what they don't know....and if they see pictures after and are upset... That's ok. If I cared that much about it, I would've invited them so my conscience is clear. But from my experience, most people are understanding of the "small intimate family only" event, compared to a party for everyone.

Has anyone used a customizable wedding website like A Short Engagement or Bliss and Bone? I like the idea of fully custom but am nervous to mess things up!

Also used Bliss and Bone. We did our wedding website with them too and it’s amazing!

I used bliss and bone and loved it. So customizable - invites and the website - and their designs feel luxury. We paid $21/month for the website and like $3 per invite?? Maybe less.
comment r/BigBudgetBrides u/Moist_Chicken_7666 2026-03-27
Ooof that is so brutal, I’m so sorry! Definitely just send a digital invite now, either by email and/or text requesting everyone rsvp asap. If your website has this functionality, just use that to minimize headaches. Bliss and bone is great - it’s what I’m using - but if I hadn’t done my website there, I probably wouldn’t use their digital invite functionality. Your guests won’t know what events there are and aren’t invited to when they rsvp, so I wouldn’t worry about that. And maybe just do some double checking on your aunties (or ask your mom to) depending on how they rsvp. What a pain - sorry, girl!

I think this is a moment for online wedding invitations truthfully. Bliss & Bone has some good options (we had some far flung international guests that would be very tough to mail to so spent some time on this) and you can make it into more of a "suite" feel online. Would also consider getting just the details card reprinted and mailing that to the older guests who might need the paper version - you can write a little note about how the original got lost in the mail, etc.

I used bliss & bone and had a good experience! It was customizable enough for me but also easy to use.

Using Bliss and Bone as well! What did you do for registry? Having trouble figuring out how to make it seamless..

This is helpful info. Was Bliss & Bone able to troubleshoot that for you?

We did url registration & Bliss and Bone at the time it had some advantages for security & password protection & met our needs- we had no issues with logins, no ads, no spam etc -- it was a bit of a pain to customize it aesthetically but we got thru it (we definitely pushed it more than the typical user)... in hindsight a square space would have probably been smoother b

I had a lot of issues with Bliss and Bones. The website looked beautiful, but a lot of the times nobody could sign in. When they could sign in, the RSVP hardly ever worked. I would recommend not having your guests RSVP through the site if you use them.

Seconding this! We loved using bliss and bone and haven’t gotten so many compliments on our website.

I did a lot of research and ended up using Bliss & Bone for the save-the-dates and Riley & Grey for the website. I started designing on Bliss & Bone. It’s very customizable, which I liked, but it was a bit tricky to work with and my design didn’t look amazing on mobile. I also wasn’t loving the muted color palette options. Riley & Grey was much easier to use. It’s basically plug-and-play if you like one of their templates, so it was quick to get everything set up. You can design on both platforms for free and only have to pay once you actually publish the website.

We’re using Bliss & Bone and love it! Same domain situation (our names.com). Completely ad-free and has privacy settings that prevent non-guests from accessing - you can provide a password or just allow guests to enter their names. We’re linking to an outside registry. I will say there’s a bit of a learning curve from a design perspective - it’s super customizable (unlike the free sites)!

I'd love to hear experiences from anyone who has used Riley & Grey and/or Bliss & Bone. We are in the US. Because the free sites (Zola, Minted, WithJoy, the Knot) are free, I know that we/our data are the product. Am I correct in assuming that Riley & Grey and Bliss & Bone, because they are paid services, would be ad-free and are not monetizing our guest names/replies in any way? We've already purchased our website domain (containing our twonames.com). We'll be doing old-school paper save the dates and invitations and the website is really only for collecting RSVPs and providing minimal additional details on the events. We do not need digital invitations, the ability to email our guests through the site, or any sort of cash gift collection functionality. Regarding the registries -- we want only a page with links to the stores where we will register. We do not want pages of products/photos where people can purchase directly from our site. Likewise, we will want to post links to suggested hotels (not links where people are pushed to book directly on the wedding site). We definitely don't want pop-up ads on our site. We have a tiny bit of experience with creating websites, so easier design functionality is better than something requiring more knowledge. Thanks in advance for sharing any experiences!

I designed my wedding website through Bliss and Bone and I honestly felt like it looked pretty chic. My budget was similar to yours and Bliss and Bone's options were really pretty. It did take me a bit to design, but nothing crazy.

I used Bliss and Bone for my website! It was so beautiful and classy! It was $15 a month when I used it and I had to pay for my own custom domain name but it was worth every penny.

I definitely think you need a website so you’re not overwhelmed with messages and texts and calls, repeating the same info over and over again. We used blissandbone and honestly I’m obsessed with our website and we have recieved so many compliments on it. People have already told me they’ve referenced it numerous times for planning their trips (we’re having a destination wedding). It did take me a LOT of time tho!! If i wasnt into doing the website design myself, i would have hired someone. Happy to share mine with you in PM. Also check out Aveila White: https://www.avelawhite.com/services They do beautiful and classy semi and fully bespoke websites.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to avoid this unless you get in contact with your people directly and ask them to add the paperless post (or bliss and bone) email to their main inbox allow list. There aren’t any universal email spam-bypass functions that are available on the sender side, otherwise every spammer in the world would implement them to bypass the server-side spam protection. Paperless post does have a feature where you can individually contact each invitee with a customized URL for your event, but you’d need to manually generate every single URL and send it directly to your invitee. I’ve done this via text message for non-wedding parties in the past. It’s a little annoying but does the trick. Your best bet would to just reach out to people as soon as you’ve sent the invites and make sure they search for the exact subject line of your invitation, and confirm with you that they received and opened the emails.

Sending out virtual save the dates and all my test emails I’ve sent to my friends keep going to their promotions inbox, not the real email inbox. Is there any way to fix this? Has happened with paperless post and bliss and bone
