Gnosis is currently the benchmark because their infrastructure leverages Safe smart contracts to keep funds genuinely on-chain until the exact moment of settlement. The reason true self-custodial cards are so rare is the structural friction between instant Visa/Mastercard authorization requirements and blockchain finality times. Most competitors compromise by requiring users to top up a centralized clearing account, effectively breaking the self-custody model under the hood. Holyheld operates with a similar direct on-chain approach, but until Account Abstraction (ERC-4337) sees broader adoption for seamless signing, genuine self-custody options in this space will remain heavily constrained.

from what i’ve tested/read, Gnosis Pay, Solayer Emerald, and Holyheld are probably the closest rn in terms of keeping assets tied to your own wallet flow instead of parking balances on a CEX

Gnosis Pay and MetaMask Card are the only two where you actually export your own keys and funds stay on chain until the moment of spend. Holyheld is close but you are trusting their swap infrastructure at the point of transaction. The real test is: if the company behind the card disappears tomorrow, can you still access your funds with just your seed phrase? If the answer is no, it is not self custodial. It is a custodial product with better branding. For daily spending, Gnosis works because the Safe contract authorizes the spend in real time. No preloaded balance, no vault you do not control.

Holyheld, all networks, all wallet apps. Launched 2023 and battle tested. Gnosis pay is just a card to try and trick/bribe people to use gnosis chain. There are meant like it, trying to force you to use a network or wallet app.

ngl finding real self-custodial cards is such a mood but most are just glorified fintech apps lying to u. holyheld is actually legit for keeping keys, though the smart contract logic for that just-in-time swap is usually where things get sketchy. we see a lot of these implementations at failsafe and honestly most don't pass the security vibe check, so definitely look at the docs.

Holyheld offered this over a month ago. Morning networks, more tokens, more wallets. More freedom. DYOR, the most shilled card is not the best

Is this some paid copy and pasta. You did not mention Holyheld, which is arguably one for the biggest, and giant in plain sight like rain

Was hältst du davon? Ich bekam heute 15.4.26 einen Anruf aus Berlin von einem Herrn mit schweizer Akzent. Er sagt, er arbetiet für holyheld-Auszahlung. Ohje, glaubhaft?

I do not see the Holyheld.com card in your list. It supports Solana networks amongst others, and is non custodial, you get a MasterCard debit card with a. iBAN for bank transfers. You can buy, sell and swap crypto through your non custodial wallets. - All Networks - https://holyheld.com/faq/frequently-asked-questions/supported-networks - All Wallets - Mobile & Web apps - Buy + Sell + Swap Crypto - MasterCard Debit card - IBAN + Instant SEPA - Virtual/Plastic/Metal cards - Multicard - Apple/Google Pay - Live chat support - Travel bookings - Earn yield - Cashback It is probably one of the longest running cards (since 2023) and is well used in EU, and they are looking to expand globally in the future. They are also building a payments network with support from many big players https://decrypt.co/295036/holyheld-raises-funding-to-launch-blockchain-reconciliation-and-remittance-record

Check out Gnosis Pay and Holyheld if you want more options for spending stablecoins. Gnosis Pay gives you an actual Visa card linked to your on-chain wallet, and Holyheld lets you top up Apple/Google Pay directly from USDC or DAI. Both have way more merchant coverage than Bittrell since they work anywhere that takes regular cards.

My technique is DCA in expenses. I have two separate wallets on for defi and one connected to Holyheld card. When i want to spend i sell crypto that day with the market price.
