it was ok with aya visa or crypto based virtual visa cards ... problem is aya might be compromised in terms of security and crypto based nexo cards aren't cheap and not convenient to top up..I don't find them reliable for long terms but it works

Hello, [BullfrogOk6793](https://www.reddit.com/user/BullfrogOk6793/). Thank you for reaching out! Nexo is required to comply with a business regulation known as KYC (Know Your Customer), so simply put - yes, it would be required upon account verification. You can learn more on the matter [here](https://support.nexo.com/article/account-creation-and-verification-faq) and [here](https://support.nexo.com/article/what-is-the-nexo-card-and-what-are-the-benefits). Hope this helps! If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Hey u/Defiant*Leg*6335 - I'm Nexo's automated assistant, The Nexo Card is issued to a single personal account holder only. Each eligible client can have one active virtual card and one active physical card, both in the same name. Spending Controls are applied per card, so you can set different limits on your virtual and physical card. However, both remain yours and under the same account. Thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion. It's been noted and forwarded to the relevant teams for consideration. — — — *This reply is generated by AI as part of a service currently being tested, and its responses may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. Nexo launched its redesigned physical card, with the first card free for Gold and Platinum tier holders. Standard users pay for it. The comments thread is worth reading. Quite a few users pointed out that Gold and Platinum status requires holding a significant amount of NEXO tokens — which adds a cost layer that smaller users won't hit. It raises a reasonable question: for crypto users who want to spend from their portfolio without selling, what actually works in 2026? The landscape currently: * Nexo Card — physical card, debit/credit mode, free for Gold/Platinum (NEXO token requirement), EUR-denominated * [Crypto.com](http://Crypto.com) Visa — widely available, different tier structure based on CRO staking * Coinbase Card — available in select markets, straightforward fiat conversion * YouHodler doesn't currently offer a crypto card — the use case is different (borrow against holdings rather than spend from them directly) For European users especially, the card tier systems often make sense only if you're already holding the platform's native token at scale. Are you using a crypto card day-to-day, and if so — which one and what's pushed you toward it? *Original thread:* [*https://www.reddit.com/r/Nexo/comments/1se0f6j/the\_physical\_card\_is\_here\_the\_first\_one\_is\_free/*](https://www.reddit.com/r/Nexo/comments/1se0f6j/the_physical_card_is_here_the_first_one_is_free/)

After my Nexo card expired and I removed the old card from Paypal to add the new card, I was reminded that Paypal sets the currency for the Nexo card to BGN. Do not let BGN be your currency and change it to your local currency, usually Euro, to avoid Paypal's extra conversion fees.

I tried to add the card to my phone after configuring it on my girlfriend's, but the operation doesn't work. Did anyone have the same problem? Suggestions on how to solve?

My Nexo card is expiring this month and I would like to have a new one. But I see that for more than a year now the physical Nexo card cannot be ordered! Is it even possible to order a new one?

I have been using the Nexo card for a while and every tax season I spend way too much time manually figuring out my NEXO cashback income and the capital gains from disposals. Koinly kept coming up as the recommended option but honestly the pricing felt hard to justify on top of already using a crypto credit card. So I vibe coded a calculator at [https://nexo.archiesee.com/](https://nexo.archiesee.com/) that parses your Nexo CSV export and computes capital income from cashback, capital gains/losses from NEXO disposals using FIFO, and also tells you your actual effective cashback rate after tax and FX spread costs. That last number is the one I always wanted and couldn't get anywhere else. It runs entirely in the browser using WebAssembly, your CSV file never leaves your machine. There's also a CLI version if you prefer the terminal. It's free, MIT licensed, and the code is on github. It's built specifically for Finnish tax rules (Vero), so if you're not in Finland it probably won't be as useful as it is. Still pretty early stage. If you're a Finnish Nexo cardholder and want to try it, I appreciate any feedback, especially around edge cases or transactions I might have got wrong.
